horrid, computer is still bad

My computer cleaning cost about 141 bucks and it's still not working right. I can't open any files like my documents or anything. As soon as I turned on my computer the same problem started all over again.
Very frustrating. Looks like I will be staying away from myspace for sure. I can't afford this and omg Im going to be so upset if I lose my camera pics especially.

On a nice note I finally got to see Spider-Man 3 I think it was the best out of all of them. The effects were so wonderful and I especially loved all the emotional drama. It's always interesting to me to see dark sides of heroes too. There were some very interesting lessons in this that there's always a reason, no matter how evil there's a reason behind the action. I love storytelling like that. Emotions that get so intense to drive one to revenge, so fascinating. Hmm I feel like I'm talking about season 6 Dark Willow hee hee

Another annoying thing. I decided what fun thing I'd like to get with some grad money, and that is a ps2 microphone and a game like american idol but I couldn't find it at the few stores I went. None were selling the mics seperate and none were selling it as a set. some sort of popstar game is now sold with it, but i didn't want to take the chance with it. Guess i'll have to go with ebay. How frustrating. Though hopefully this weekend maybe i can find a store with more luck. I could have swon that at Walmart American Idol had the mics. But i'm not sure...

Hey Flame thanks so much for the nudge I just got it. It's nice that I'm still thought of in here, cause I know that I haven't been active at all in this semester.
Luckily now my computer connection is working a lot better, that I can have some fun online again. I even have my aim and yahoo open if anyone wants to chat.
It's been a long semester, and I think I'm looking forward to graduating. It's going to be hard missing everyone. And I plan to go out with a BANG, because in the midst of final prep I plan to have a little fun in saying goodbye to my campus.

I'll talk more about it later, I'm just very tired right now. I was at my internship at 7am and then till school in the afternoon. So I'm sleepy.

Ok so the announcer mentions 2 very scary movies Saw, and Hostel...

This is an incredibly interesting idea for a rating community. rather than the yes or no crap based on shallow reasons, this is all just a character personality assessment based on what is filled out on the application
it's a lot more laid bac than a picky fan community
so are you Donna, Eric, Hyde, Kelso, Red, Kitty, Jackie, etc, this is a lot of fun.

Blasts from college past

Oh wow, it was so nice to see a couple of my friends that I haven't seen for many years. They are married and have 2 kids, the baby was just baptized today and there was a little party for him and we were invited to go. It was so nice catching up, Christine is still just as pretty as she was in college, same long pretty hair and everything. Matt her husband well he looks the same except for his hair is shorter than when he was in school his hair was always long back then.
they are doing pretty well for themselves both grade school teachers, and living in sunny and nice Florida.

Chris and I almost didn't go, because well sometimes it's hard to go back when you haven't seen someone in so long. But wow it was just like old times, and it was so funny too because we stayed a little longer than expected because Christine and I just kept gabbing away about what's going on and talked about other silly things. It was just fab. I was happy that she liked the baptism present too.

Ok well I guess this post wasn't as exciting as I thought it might be, but it was really nice to see them again.
Now there's another friend from college years that I'd love to talk to again, Christine said she'll email me her email. Hopefully I can get ahold of her.

And guys and gals out there if you are still reading, just because you might lose touch with old friends doesn't mean you'll never have contact with them again. I've seen a few posts here and there talking about friends dissapearing, and how sad it is like high school pals and such, but honestly though unless it was a really big ordeal all isn't lost you may see them again.

In fact a girl I never thought I'd ever see again is now going to be working with me in psychology club at school. I haven't seen her since I was very young in grade school.
So I guess you never know what is going to happen the past can come back and in a good way.

So I'm not on my laptop, I'm on my dad's computer while watching I love the 70's Volume 2 1975. Wooo hooooT! to the mention of Rocky Horror Picture Show! Wow I haven't seen that movie or heard the songs in a while now. I'm very tempted to drag out my vhs of it. I swear these i love the (insert decade) on vh1 are sublimonal. Some of this stuff I don't remember but it's fun watching the comedians talk about the stuff. Ooo sit and spin! Remember those? I loved loved LOVED my sit and spin when I was young.

So who's excited about Clerks 2 coming out? I can't wait to see the Kevin Smith magic again! It's nice that he's writing for jay and silent bob and the gang instead of all these serious-ish movies as of late. I really hope this and another kick ass comedy will be in the drive in! I haven't been to the drive in this summer yet.

wow that was tiny

Phew I'm sleepy. I had to get up early to sing a funeral. I can't believe how small it was. There were only like 10 people there! The woman was 94 so she lived a long life. It got me thinking a lot about my funeral. I'm the youngest in my family, and at this point I don't know if I will have my own children or not. As such I wonder if my funeral will be very small. It kind of depressed me a little for the old lady that not many people were there. What about friends not just family? Oh well, perhaps she was shy...or mean. OMG I can't believe I thought that. yikes.

This is probably my 4th or 5th funeral I've sang, and it still feels strange to me. I will admit watching the emotions of the people there is interesting.

This funeral reminded me of Eleanor Rigby.

laptop blues

As I figured I wrote this earlier when the sun was still up...

wow what is the point of having a laptop if you can't use it in other places around the house?
I decided to try and use it outside on my deck but it's so blasted bright (even though I'm sort of in shade) but the screen is so faded it's hard to see. Not to mention that even though we have wireless, it's not very strong even though I'm upstairs, I thought for sure I'd be close enough to my room to pick it up. It's sort of working but the connection is still a bit slow. In fact I'm writing this entry in my notepad and may have to send it later to my journal depending on if it will take it now.

it's nice to be able to use my lt on my bed and lap and whatever but it's so annoying that the signal is so weak, that it only reaches so far.

Laptops are a really nice convenience but there were a lot more things I thought I would be able to do before I had one. i thought I'd be able to use it anywhere I could plug it in, little did I know it was more complicated than that.
and while I'm complaining, I spent extra money on a dvd burner, but I haven't been able to figure out how the hell to copy a dvd at all. At least I can play them anyways.

well that's it for my summer outside with my laptop rant

This is semi long so I'm going to cut it, a friend posted it so I just had to show this to you guys. enjoy the laughs.

TACO MONEY
The following is a *true* story. It amused me while it was
happening. I hope it isn't one of those "had to be there" things.

On my way home from the second job I've taken for the extra
holiday cash, I stopped at Taco Bell for a quick bite to eat. In
my billfold is a $50 bill and a $2 bill. That's all the cash I
have on my person. I figure that with a $2 bill, I can get
something to eat and not have to worry about people getting
ticked at me for breaking a $50.

[Note: $2 bills are quite rare in the US and many establishments
don't have a cash drawer for them]

ME:Hi, I'd like one seven layer burrito please, to go.
Employee: Is that it?
ME:Yep.
Employee: That'll be $1.04. Is that for here?
ME: No, it's to go.
At his point I open my billfold and hand him the $2 bill. He
looks at it kind of funny and says:
Employee: Uh, hang on a sec, I'll be right back.
He goes to talk to his manager, who is still within my earshot.
The following conversation occurs between the two of them.
Employee: Hey, you ever seen a $2 bill?
MGR: No. A what?
Employee: A $2 bill. This guy just gave it to me.
MGR: Ask for something else, THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS A $2 BILL.
Employee: Yeah, I thought so.
He comes back to me and says:
Employee: We don't take these. Do you have anything else?
ME: Just this fifty. You don't take $2 bills? Why?
Employee: I don't know.
ME: See here where it says legal tender?
Employee: Yeah.
ME: So, shouldn't you take it?
Employee: Well, hang on a sec.
He goes back to his manager, who is watching me like I'm going
to shoplift, and says:
Employee: He says I have to take it.
MGR: Doesn't he have anything else?
Employee: Yeah, a fifty. I'll get it and you can open the safe
and get change.
MGR: I'M NOT OPENING THE SAFE WITH HIM IN HERE! (my emphasis)
Employee: What should I do?
MGR: Tell him to come back later when he has REAL money.
Employee: I can't tell him that, you tell him.
MGR: Just tell him.
Employee: No way, this is weird, I'm going in back.
The manager approaches me and says:
MGR: I'm sorry, we don't take big bills this time of night.
(It was 8 pm and this particular Taco Bell is in a well-lighted
indoor mall with 100 other stores.)
ME: Well, here's a two.
MGR: We don't take *those* either.
ME: Why not?
MGR: I think you *know* why.
ME: (Knowing full well he's an idiot) No really, tell me, why?
MGR: Please leave before I call mall security.
ME: Excuse me?
MGR: Please leave before I call mall security.
ME: What for?
MGR: Please, sir.
ME: Uh, go ahead, call them.
MGR: Would you please just leave?
ME: No.
MGR: Fine, have it your way then.
ME: No, that's Burger King, isn't it?
At this point he BACKS away from me and calls mall security on
the phone around the corner. I have two people STARING at me from
the dining area, and I begin laughing out loud, just for effect.
A few minutes later this 45-year-oldish guy comes in and says (at
the other end of counter, in a whisper):
SG: Yeah, Mike, what's up?
MGR: This guy is trying to give me some (pause) funny money.
SG: Really? What?
MGR: Get this, a *two* dollar bill.
SG: Why would a guy fake a $2 bill?
MGR: I don't know. He's kinda weird. He says the only other
thing he has is a fifty.
SG: So, is the fifty a fake?
MGR: No, the $2 is.
SG: Why would he fake a $2 bill?
MGR: I don't know. Can you talk to him, and get him out of here?
SG: Yeah...
Security guard walks over to me and says:
SG: Mike here tells me you have some fake bills you're trying to
use.
ME: Uh, no.
SG: Lemme see 'em.
ME: Why?
SG: Do you want me to get the cops in here?
At this point I was ready to say, "SURE, PLEASE" but I really
just wanted to eat, so I said:
ME: I'm just trying to buy a burrito and pay for it with this $2
bill. I put the bill up near his face, and he flinches like I was
taking a swing at him. He takes the bill, turns it over a few
times in his hands, and says:
SG: Mike, what's wrong with this bill?
MGR: It's fake.
SG: It doesn't look fake to me.
MGR: But it's a **$2** bill.
SG: Yeah?
MGR: Well, there's no such thing, is there?
The security guard and I both looked at him like the moron he
is, and it dawned on the guy that he had no clue. My burrito was
free and he threw in a small drink and those cinnamon things,
too.
